Cooperation Networks
Forest owners can establish cooperation networks under the METSO Programme. A good network is based on resolutions that both conserve forest biodiversity and promote rural vitality. Networks help forest owners maintain forest landscapes, develop recreational activities related to forest biodiversity and manage valuable habitats.Networking projects can be led by environmental or forestry organisations or by local associations. A network can consist of forests that border on each other or include forested areas in different municipalities. Cooperative networks can receive funding from the METSO Programme or be financed under European Union projects.
